The question changes shape at this level

At Overseer level a question typically asks whether you know a result. At Assistant Engineer level it much more often asks whether you understand the result's limits — the assumption underneath it, and the situation where it stops holding.
That is why students who did well at diploma level sometimes stall here while working just as hard. The effort is fine. The kind of studying has not changed to match the kind of question.
Coverage is not the constraint any more
At ITI level, breadth is a real problem — there is a great deal of syllabus and not enough time. At AE level the binding constraint moves. The topic list is not the difficulty; the depth per topic is.
Which inverts the study strategy. Reading three books on a topic at speed is worth less than working carefully through one derivation until you can say what each term is doing and what happens when one of them goes to zero.

What a Rank Booster block actually contains
The name is a bit grand, so here is the substance. It is a short structured block attached to a concept, and it always answers the same five questions:

It is not extra content bolted on for marketing. It is the difference between a topic you can answer questions about and a topic you can answer unfamiliar questions about — which is the whole game once everybody in the room knows the standard results.

Numericals, with the working shown
At this level a numerical answer on its own is close to useless as practice. What you need is the full solution — every step, so you can find the exact point where your method diverged rather than knowing only that it did.
Most students, checking a wrong numerical, discover the arithmetic slip and stop there. The more valuable finding is usually two steps earlier, in the assumption you made when choosing the method.

The trap inside a membership that carries everything
The B.Tech membership includes the Diploma and ITI levels as well — 1,775 chapters across all three. That sounds like unambiguous value, and mostly it is. It is also the most common way an AE aspirant wastes a month.
Having the lower levels does not mean studying them. They are there for targeted repair — a foundation topic you know is shaky, revisited at a simpler level before returning to depth. Working through them systematically is studying the wrong exam thoroughly.
Use them the way you would use a reference book: opened deliberately, for a specific gap, then closed.
One thing to check before you buy, honestly
Audio revision does not cover every topic at this level. The B.Tech track carries 925 videos and 254 audio revisions — so if listening on a commute is central to how you study, know that it applies to part of the track rather than all of it before you commit.
It is a real limitation, it is on the roadmap, and I would rather you read it here than feel misled in week two.
Where AE aspirants actually lose marks
From going through papers with students, the losses cluster in four places, and only one of them is "did not know the topic":

Three of those four are not knowledge problems. At this level, that proportion is normal — and it is why more content is so often the wrong response to a disappointing score.
The last month at AE level
Different from the lower levels, because the failure mode is different. At Overseer level the last month is about coverage and revision. Here it should be almost entirely about boundaries and timing.
- Go through your boundary list — the "this holds when…" notes — rather than re-reading chapters.
- Full papers under time, with the section order you actually intend to use.
- Revisit every numerical you got wrong earlier, and identify whether the error was arithmetic or method. Log which.
- Leave the lower-level material completely alone in the final month.
How to structure AE preparation
- Go by concept, not by chapter count. Finishing chapters is a diploma-level metric. Here, being able to state the assumptions of a concept is the metric.
- Work derivations by hand at least once. Not to reproduce them in the hall — to know which terms are doing what.
- Collect the boundaries. Keep a running list of "this holds when…" for every major result. That list is more useful in the last month than any amount of re-reading.
- Practise unfamiliar phrasings deliberately. Assertion-reason and statement questions are where the depth actually gets tested.
- Use the lower levels for repair only, as above.
